Recommended Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch Compatible with 2002 Toyota Tundra V8 SR5 with 6 Foot Bed
Question:
I noticed an answer to a question concerning minimum bed length for a 5th wheel hitch. My Tundra has a 6 ft. bed. Is that enough room? Im looking for a small 5th wheel that will work well with my vehicle. 2002 Tundra V8/SR5

For your 2002 Toyota Tundra V8 SR5 with 6 foot bed, I recommend the B&W 5th Wheel Installation Kit with Spacers for Toyota Tundra # BWRVR3206-00. Then for a hitch to go with the bed rails, I recommend the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Dual Jaw - 18,000 lbs # BWRVK3270. This combination is a confirmed fit for your vehicle and will give you 12 inches of travel for additional turning clearance. This will give you a manual slider to protect your truck cab.
If you want an automatic sliding hitch that is confirmed to fit, I recommend you use the Demco Hijacker Autoslide # DM8550034 which fits the same bed rail kit listed above. This hitch will travel 14 inches and will allow you to stay in the comfort of your cab as you maneuver your trailer around gas pumps and into your campsite.
