What Does the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75528 Fit
Question:
We have a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse, that we lease. We most likely will be getting another SUV when this Lease expires 2020. Is there a universal hitch, that would likely fit another SUV, most likely another Chevrolet, in a couple years. We would like to transfer the hitch to our next vehicle.

The only trailer hitches available for your 2017 Chevrolet Traverse are custom fit so they only fit specific vehicles.
I recommend going with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75528 which fits the following:
2007 - 2016 GMC Acadia
2017 - 2017 GMC Acadia Limited
2008 - 2017 Buick Enclave
2007 - 2010 Saturn Outlook
2009 - 2017 Chevrolet Traverse
2018 - 2018 Chevrolet Traverse Limited
If you know what vehicle you will be getting in the future you can use this list as a comparison, but if you are thinking of leasing a newer Traverse there isn't really a way for us to know if it will fit on a future model or not.
Please note that if you do find one of these vehicles and you transfer the trailer hitch you will need new hardware a trailer hitch hardware is only meant to be torqued down once. You can get replacement hardware by going to the part # RHK product page, selecting the manufacturer of your trailer hitch, and typing in the hitch number.
I have attached an installation video of this hitch on a 2017 Traverse for you to reference.
If you let me know what you will be using the trailer hitch for I can make additional recommendations if need be.
