Compatibility of Torklift EcoHitch on 2017 Subaru Outback
Question:
Today I tried to mount a Torklift hitch for a 2017 Subaru Outback and found that the mounting faces of the hitch are angled, the mounting face of the car is straight. Is this a manufacturers defect? Mounting it as is will deform the body of the car.

Expert Reply:
The only Torklift trailer hitch option offered for a 2017 Subaru Outback is the EcoHitch brand # 306-X7601. The mounting faces of the hitch are a perfect fit for the bumper frame mounting location. I've attached a video to assist. If your hitch is the same part number and does not fit when installed as the video shows, then there must be a manufacturer defect or shipping issue.
