Recommended 2 Inch Ball Mount with 0 Rise and Drop
Question:
I used the link to measure for the ball mount, but believe that my measurements turn out to be equal and I do not see a straight ball mount on your site. Does something like that exist? The measurement from the ground to the top inside edge of my hitch receptical will be 16inch according to the hitch installation video on your site - and the measurement to the bottom of the coupler when the trailer is level will be 16. Can you tell me if there is +\- in those measurements that is negligible? It would seem that I do not need a rise or a to keep the trailer level. Thanks for your help in trying to sort this out.

For the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7601 you will be installing on your 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon, I recommend using a ball mount with a 1" rise as the tongue weight of your trailer when loaded will lower the rear of your vehicle about a 1/2" or so depending on the weight of your trailer.
For a ball mount, I recommend taking a look at the Curt Towing Starter Kit part # C45534 which comes with a 3/4" rise ball mount, locking hitch pin, and receiver tube cover. You can take a closer look at all of these items in the video I have attached for you.
