I spoke with my contact at Curt about trailer hitch # 11765. He stated that when the hitch is installed the receiver tube, which will be the lowest point, will be about 1-3/4 inches to 2 inches below the bottom of the rear fascia. What you can do is park your 2004 Audi TT on level ground and measure up from the ground to a point that is about 2 inches below the rear fascia and that is where the bottom of the receiver will be. If you plan on doing some towing, the hitch comes with the recommended ball mount, pin and clip. For a ball, you can use # 19256 (1-7/8 inch diameter) or # 19258 (2 inch diameter). For trailer wiring, use Upgraded Circuit Protected Taillight Converter, # 119178KIT. I have included a link to a video showing a typical installation of this kit.
