We have several trailer hitch receivers that are confirmed to fit your 2002 Ford F-150. I recommend taking a look at the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C15303. The Curt trailer hitch is a Class V hitch with a 2" receiver tube opening. It offers you the highest rated gross trailer weight (16,000 lbs) and highest rated tongue weight (2,400 lbs) of any other trailer hitch receiver we have confirmed to fit your vehicle. Please note that you will need to look in your vehicle's owner's manual for the maximum gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities of the vehicle as the lower of the two ratings will be your limit.

If you are towing a trailer with brakes and you only have a 4-way trailer connector, you can use the Ford Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring Harness part # 118242 to replacement the factory 4-way trailer connector with a 7-way trailer connector. You will also need a brake controller to tow a trailer with brakes if you do not already have one and for this I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90885 with the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3035-P as one of our most well reviewed and easy to use brake controllers.

If you can tell me the distance from the ground to the top of your receiver tube once installed subtracted from the distance from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler (while level), I can then recommend the correct ball mount for you as well.
