Lighter-Weight Weight Distribution System Recommendation for Trailer that Weighs 4,500 lbs
Question:
I am interested in a WDH for a 3700 lbs dry weight travel trailer, Probably 4500 lbs loaded, with an approximate 475 lbs hitch weight. I will be towing it with a Hyundai Santa Fe 5000 lbs tow rating. I noticed some WDHs use the same huge heavy head/shank unit no matter if its for a 15000 lbs trailer or a 3000 lbs trailer. The only thing they change are the bars depending on trailer weight. Are they all that way? I would rather not have to deal with a 100 pound WDH if I dont have to. Any suggestions that could lighten my load while still providing the needed weight distribution for my set up?

The Fastway E2 distribution systems are among the lighter of the systems at around 80 lbs. They're all pretty heavy by nature.
For an SC kit that would work well with your trailer the part # FA94-00-0600 would be great as it has a tongue weight range of 400-800 lbs.
