Troubleshooting T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, # C55050 Not Working on a 2008 Jeep Compass
Question:
Just installed the wiring kit and hooked it up to my brand new utility trailer. Nothing works. Checked the output and there is no power coming from the plug. Crimps are solid and grownded to the frame. Trailer works fine with my truck. I think I received a bad converter. Anything else I can check to verify?

This may seem like an obvious suggestion but you will need to make sure the T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, # C55050, is directly connected to the positive battery terminal on the vehicle via the included fuse and holder. Any other 12 volt source is not sufficient.
Make sure the fuse is intact and fully inserted into the holder. If you have done this and followed all of the other instructions and there is still no power or signals coming through then there could be a problem inside the converter and it will need to be replaced.
