Recommended Suspension Enhancement System for 2018 Ford F-150 Dropped 4 Inches
Question:
The part in question is #TFR1504E. I am thinking of buying a new F-150 which will get lowered. Can this kit be used with a 2inch front/4inch rear or 3/5inch kit? How thick is the spacer because it can always be removed and the upper bracket can always be shortened and rewelded if the stock timber kit will not work with lowered suspension.

The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TFR1504E is a fit for a factory height 2017 or 2018 Ford F-150. To drop the truck height will require custom fabrication as you stated. There isn't a spacer, just the brackets and the jounce spring, so this may not be the best option for you.
My recommendation is to use a system that doesn't require that extra fabrication. You can use the RoadActive Suspension Kit # RAS3611-B which will give you a mechanically active system to enhance your suspension. This is the only system that wouldn't require additional work or alteration. This would be my recommendation for you to have the best functioning enhancement.
Another option is to use the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle # F2582. This will allow more room because of the air spring, but you will still have large brackets that may need fabrication when you drop the rear end 4 inches.
