Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 1998 Toyota 4Runner
Question:
My 98 4runner manual says Toyota doesnt recommend using a weight distribution hitch. The trailer salesman for a 3100 pound, 21 foot travel trailer doesnt understand that. Can you shed any lighton that to help me decide what kind of hitch to buy?

In situations like yours you have to go by what the manufacturer of the vehicle states. They are who designed the vehicle and know what is safe to use with it.
What you can use is suspension enhancement for the rear axle of your 1998 Toyota 4Runner like the Firestone kit part # F4135 which is a confirmed fit. This will help reduce the rear end sag you are experiencing when towing when you inflate the bags.
