For your 2017 Mazda CX-9, I recommend you use the 4 Pole Trailer Connector (Includes Install Kit) # C59496. This will connect to your factory wiring with quick splice connectors and protect your system from overdraw by capturing power for the Modulite from the vehicle battery. I've attached a video of this installation and have also attached an article to assist. This would give you the 4-way flat trailer connector that would not interfere with your European 7-way.

The only adapter we carry for European 7 Round is the Trailer Connector Adapter for Land Rover - 7-Way, Round Pin, European Style to 4-Way Flat # 118710. This will make a European connection on your vehicle work with a trailer that has a 4-way flat connection.
