Bike Rack for a Forest River RPod Travel Trailer and a 2015 Buick Enclave
Question:
I have a Forest River Rpod TT. I want to add a bike rack. Researching it the rear receiver on the I pod is only good for 150lbs and FR specifies a specific bike rack. Do you have such an item? pls advise Thanx

You actually have several more options compared to the ones offered by Forest River for your RPod Travel Trailer.
Since you only have a 150 pound weight capacity, you'll want to pick a lighter rack. I recommend the Swagman Trailhead, part # S63381. This is a hanging style rack that adjusts to a lot of different bike wheel sizes and setups, giving you a wide range of flexibility. This only fits a 2 inch receiver. Its capable of holding up to two 35 pound bikes with a 100 pound total bike capacity. This rack is RV rated, which is important as you absolutely must use an RV rated rack. The distance between the receiver and rear axle is greater on a trailer, and the forces applied to the rack and bikes is far higher. This requires sturdier materials and construction to keep the bikes safe during transit.
If you'd rather not use the rear, or if you do not have a 2" hitch, you can use the Swagman Trailhead with the Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk, part # CC-275. This lets you lift the rack up and above your propane on the A-Frame, clearing space and reducing the overall length of your trailer.
