The Stromberg Carlson Rail Mate, # AP-101, that you mentioned is designed for use with manual steps only. However, Stromberg Carlson does make the Lend-a-Hand XL Folding Grab Handle, # AM-533, that can be mounted to the RV and used with electric steps. This handrail securely locks in place while in use and locks in the stowed position alongside the RV when not in use.
Another great accessory to have for your RV is the TempMinder Digital Thermometer, # MRI-122AG, which displays indoor and outdoor temperatures.
