Is it Possible to Install the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit On Thinner Door Profile
Question:
do not currently have a lock on my horse trailer, just latches for the tack area. Would like to install this but in one of your answers you state minimum thickness of door for install is 1 1/4. what if my door is thinner? Im trying to not use the door latch style because the locking, with inside unlock and open feature doesnt seem to be available in full size stainless.

The two sections of the door latch part # 295-000019 (inner door and outer door) do require a minimum thickness of 1-1/4 inch for the latch to secure properly. What you can do as a work around is come up with a spacer to mount between the latch and door to take up that extra room. I'd put it between the inside latch and the door.
