Lowest Height Possible for a 5th Wheel Hitch Compatible with a 2017 Ram 2500
Question:
Im thinking of purchasing the Curt E16 on roller slide, my question is about height adjustments, particularly the lowest height setting, curious if any other brands on a slider would set lower than the E16

The Curt E16 # 16516 that you referenced has 14" - 17" of adjustable hitch height.
The lowest possible option that we have is the Demco Hijacker SL Series Flat Deck # DM6076SL-FLAT which has a hitch height of a mere 10 inches tall. This will be compatible with the 6-1/2' bed on your 2017 Ram 2500 as it still offers the sliding ability. It features 8" of front to back travel and is rated for up to 21,000 lbs. This 5th wheel hitch will install on your 2500 with the Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit # DM8553016-12.
I have attached review videos for both products that you can check out.
Keep in mind that we recommend having 5" - 6" between the top of the bed rails on your Ram and the trailer to avoid damage to both. I have attached a link to our selection of 5th wheel hitches along with the base rail kits that will fit your Ram 2500 and are comparable in height to the E16.
