Vehicle Blinkers Not Working Correctly After Installing Trailer Wiring Harness on 2017 Ford Edge
Question:
I installed the harness on my 2017 Ford Edge. I installed as instructed, but the left / Drivers side blinker, blinks faster than before the harness was installed. I put a meter in the trailer plug, and only get power for the left signal pin, even when I put the right signal on. No voltage in the right pin at all.

It sounds like your 2017 Ford Edge thinks that a bulb or bulbs are out which would explain why the one side blinks quickly and the other side does nothing. Trailer wiring harness # C56292 is designed for the Sport and Titanium models of the Edge so if you have an SE or SEL I recommend # 118669.
If you do have a Sport or Titanium then check to make sure the white ground wire is attached to a clean and corrosion free bare metal surface. There can't be any kind of coating on the ground surface either because that can interrupt the ground. Also make sure the fuse is good on the power wire for the Curt harness and that it is attached to the positive battery terminal. No other 12 volt source should be used.
