Comparing Hopkins Trailer Wiring Connectors with 7-Way and 4-Way Functions
Question:
Can you tell me the difference between Item # HM40975-11998 and Item # HM11141144? It looks to me as though the only differences as far as i can tell is the length of the pigtail and no metal mounting bracket. Thanks!

The 7-Pole and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Sockets w/ Mounting Bracket and Wiring - Vehicle End # HM40975-11998 comes with a mounting bracket so it can be installed in a number of different locations including the factory bumper location of some vehicles and 4 feet length of wire. You can use the no drill bracket # 18140 to give more mounting options.
The Hopkins Multi-Tow 7-Way Blade and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector - Chevrolet/GMC # HM11141144 connects to your vehicle's bare factory wiring and fits in the factory bumper location.
These are really the only differences as you stated.
