Parts Needed to Install Brake Controller in a 2009 Kia Sportage with 4-Way
Question:
Can you tell me if this brake controller will work ok on my 2009 Kia Sportage? It did not come factory with a 4 way harness but I do have one installed on it currently. I am looking for a brake controller that is compatible with both my vehicle and with the ETBC7 part required to go with it. My ultimate goal is to be able to have a 7pin/4 post plug that allows me to pull my camper with electric brakes. From what I can tell these are the two items I need to purchase, correct?

Yes, the Curt part # C74VV plus the wiring harness # C51515 and the kit # ETBC7 will be all that you need to convert the 4-way of your 2009 Kia Sportage to a 7-Way and install a brake controller.
I attached an install video that shows the ETBC7 installed on a similar Sportage as yours.
