Compatibility of Thule J-Style Kayak Carriers on Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer

Question:

Hi Will Thule Roof top J bars Hull a Pro 830 that now fit on thule aero blades fit on the crossbars of a rack and roll trailer? Just bought a draw tite 2inch hitch from you for my 2015 subaru crosstrek. What do i need to hook up the rack and roll trailer to it? carrying two 45 lb. 12 foot kayaks thanks

The Thule J-Style Kayak carriers like the Thule Hull-A-Port # TH834 that fit your Thule AeroBlade Load Bars will absolutely fit the crossbars of the Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer - 78" # Y08107 or the Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer - 66" # Y08106 as well. Either of these trailers will allow you to carry two 12 foot kayaks as you referenced.

To work best with this trailer, the 2 inch hitch ball should be 22 inches from the ground. To make this easy for you, I suggest an adjustable ball mount for your 2 inch hitch receiver on your 2015 Subaru Crosstrek. I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount # BWTS10038B for your application. This ball mount is adjustable in height in 1 inch increments. It has a maximum rise of 5-1/2 inches and a maximum drop of 5 inches. It has an integrated 2 inch hitch ball to make it easy and it also has a really nice stowable feature when not in use to give you a clean look and get the hitch ball out of the way so you don't hit your shins when loading or unloading cargo from your rear hatch.
