Recommendation for Pulling 1,100 Pound Pontoon Boat Across Sand Beach

Question:

I need to pull a 16, 1100 lb pontoon across a sand beach for storage. If I mount your Dutton-Lainson Boat Trailer Deluxe Roller Bunk - 5foot Long Sections - 12 Sets of 3 Rollers Item # DL21741 on 2 2x6s do you think it would roll nicely across the beach? Thanks.

To move your 1,100 pound pontoon boat across a sand beach, using a couple of the Dutton-Lainson Boat Trailer Deluxe Roller Bunk # DL21741 referenced in your question may be your best option. This kit will include two roller bunks that will give you 12 sets of 3 rollers and plenty of capacity for your pontoon.

You will just need to make sure that you mount them onto a wide enough base so they don't sink into or wobble on the sand when gliding the boat along the rollers. Going with something that is a bit wider than the 2x6s you mentioned might be a better option.

I have also attached a short video demonstration on these rollers for you to check out.
