Troubleshooting No Power at Running Lights Pin on 2013 Sierra 2500 Trailer Connector
Question:
To whom it may concern, I read the article on running lights not working on trailer, and it is on the vehicle side. I checked with a gadget, and theres power on all the other pins in the vehicle connection, but no power on the running lights pin. I have a 2013 GMC 2500HD diesel. Also, I found that the fuse for the trailer running lights in the engine compartment fuse block was blown, but I replaced that, and still no running lights power on the vehicle pin. Is there another fuse I missed? Please help. Thank you

Since you already replaced the running lights fuse in your Sierra, I recommend looking at the vehicle side connector. Check to make sure there is no corrosion or dirt buildup inside the pin in question, simply cleaning out as needed. Corrosion and debris inside the connector can lead to a short and cause the issue you described.
Also check to make sure the wiring harness is grounded properly. A poor ground connection can prevent certain light functions like the trailer's running lights from working properly.
If you are unable to resolve the issue, please let me know and I will be happy to look into this further. I have also included a troubleshooting article that you might find helpful.
