The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7601 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit the 2018 Subaru Outback with the rear sensors on the bumper. This custom-fit hitch features a hidden cross tube and will install behind the vehicle's rear bumper, leaving only the receiver visible beneath it. This Class III hitch will provide a 2 inch receiver opening and has a 3,500 pound towing capacity.
I have attached the installation details that you can also check out.
If you plan on doing any towing, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467 to install a 4-Way trailer connector at the rear of the Outback Wagon. This is custom-fit for the vehicle and will connect to existing ports behind the driver side trim panel. I have attached an installation video that you can reference.
You will also need a ball mount to tow a trailer. I have attached an article that explains how to choose the correct one to tow your trailer level, along with a link that will take you to our available selection.
