You can absolutely use your existing Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885 in your 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.
The unit will just need to be hardwired to your Jeep using the included P2 pigtail harness. If you do not still have this, you can use # 7894. I recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to help with identifying the correct wires on your vehicle to connect to. On the P2 pigtail, white is for ground, black is for the 12V lead, blue is for electric brakes and red is the stoplight switch.
If your Jeep does not have the factory tow package, you will also need to install the Tekonsha 4-Way harness # 118416 (if you do not already have a 4-Way) along with the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7. This kit includes everything needed to install a fully functional 7-Way along with the brake controller. I have attached a couple of installation videos and articles on trailer brake controller installations that you might also find helpful.
