Trailer Hitch Receiver to Fit a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Recon Edition

Question:

Jeep wrangler unlimited 2017 rubicon recon model. Rear towing hitch. What do you have or suggest as there is no room to shove your standard hitch op between the frame and factory bumper for the recon model. Thank you

If I'm not mistaken the 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Recon uses the MOPAR off-road bumper # 82213654. I've attached a picture for you to compare.

If this is the case then the Draw-Tite # DT78MR will work just fine on your Jeep. I've attached the install details, where I got the picture from. You'll need to remove some hardware and a spacer plate in order for the receiver to fit behind your bumper. The hitch fits onto a cross member and uses the existing holes in it.

There's also an install video linked but it won't be exactly the same as yours since it's a standard bumper. But some of the process will still apply to you.
