What you will need to make the installation of the Primus Brake Controller, # TK90160, easy is the Universal Brake Control Wiring Harness, # 3020-P. The blunt cut wires on the back of the brake controller will match up color for color with the blunt cut wires on the wiring harness. Then, all you will need to do is plug in the other end of the harness to the factory plug on your 2005 Dodge Ram 2500.
If you look at the pictures on the lower half of the product page for harness # 3020-P, it will show you the location of the factory plug on the truck. It is essentially between the top of the emergency brake pedal and the steering joint to the right, under the dash.
Since your Ram has a tow package, all of the necessary relays or fuses needed to power the brake controller should already be in place. You can check by finding their locations in the power distribution box under the hood using the owners manual as a guide.
