The Curt Extender for 2" Receivers -18" Long # C45796 can be used with the Brophy Ball Mount - 3" Rise, 4" Drop - 14-5/8" Long - Aluminum - 8,000 lbs Item # EA40 or the Brophy Ball Mount for 2" Hitch - 3/4" Rise, 2" Drop - 13-1/4" Long - 10,000 lbs # BH20. You may want to consider using hitch locks like # e98882 that can be keyed alike.
Using a hitch extender will not reduce your towing capacity, but will reduce your trailer hitch tongue weight rating by 50%.
