Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
I was wondering if I could use the same trailer frame and hitch for these two vehicles?

A 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo uses the same trailer hitch receiver as a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee because they are the same vehicle with just a different package. For a trailer hitch receiver compatible with your vehicle I recommend using the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75699 as this hitch has a Class III rating with a 2" hitch receiver opening.
If you will be moving the hitch from one vehicle to another you will also want to replace the hardware using the Replacement Hardware Kit for Trailer Hitches part # RHK.
If you are looking to do any towing I also recommend using the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118727 for models without the factory tow package in addition to the Ball Mount Kit part # 989900. I have attached a ball mount help article for you to determine if this ball mount kit will work for you or not.
I have attached an installation video of this hitch installed on a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee in addition to a photo of what it will look like for you.
