The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11127 is a confirmed fit for 2012-2015 Mazda 5 models. It does come with pin and clip, but the ball mount is sold separately. For a ball mount, I recommend the Curt Drawbar for 1-1/4" Hitches - 3-1/8" Rise - 9-1/4" Long - 3,500 lbs # C45520. You will also want a hitch ball like # C40001 for a 1-7/8 inch or # C40018 for a 2 inch.
For your vehicle trailer connection, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118520. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located inside your trunk, behind the tail lights on both the driver's side and passenger's side. You will need to remove some interior trim or carpeting to access the harness. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse. I've attached a video to help and have also attached an article to assist in routing that power wire to the battery.
