Fitting Thule Crossbars to Yakima Mounts for a 2017 Honda CR-V

Question:

I currently have Thule Aeroblades from my old car. I recently purchased a 2017 Honda CRV with flush mount front to back roof rails. My question is: since Thule cant seem to come up with a mount to fit my new car, can I use Yakima mounts to attach the Aeroblades to the car?

In this case, you can't fit crossbars and feet between brands. The shaping of the receivers on each rack, plus the shaping of the fit kit will result in an unstable base and they will have practically no use.

You are better off purchasing a new kit, such as the Yakima JetStream kit, consisting of:

- JetStream Crossbars, part # Y00425
- SkyLine Towers, part # Y53TR
- Lading Pad 19 for SkyLine Towers, part # Y00245

This will give you the same look as your existing crossbars while offering a correct fit for your vehicle.
