Fifth Wheel Hitch and Rail Kit Recommendation for 2015 Ram 3500 Short Bed with Sidewinder

Hi, Im planning to purchase a new fifth wheel and like the side winder. I have a 2015 dodge ram 3500 with normal short bed box. I need the complete fifth wheel hitch including all parts needed for installation. Could you help me with all parts needed. trailer weight is around 16000 lbs. dry. thanks,

You will need to remove the pin box of the trailer and replace it with a Sidewinder pin box. Sidewinders are pin box specific so you will first need to know what pin box you have now in order to pick out the correct one.

There should be a sticker or a stamping on the OEM pin box of the trailer that will list the pin box number that is on the trailer.

Once you figure out which pin box you have you can check the FAQ I attached that has a chart that shows the correct Sidewinder to get based on which pin box you have.

For a hitch you'd then need a stationary hitch like the 20k part # RP30081 which will work great with a Sidewinder.

For a rail kit you will want to go with a custom install kit as it will minimize drilling and install time. For that the part # RP56010-53 is a confirmed fit for your 2015 Ram 3500 short bed without the rail kit.
