Recommended Wiring Harness For 2018 Honda Odyssey

Question:

I have a 2018 Honda Odyssey on which I want to install a trailer hitch wiring harness. You only show #118753 as being confirmed to fit this newly released model. This harness requires a wire be routed to the battery. Do you offer another harness for this model that does not require a wire a wire be routed to the battery ... like what I previously used in my 2013 Odyssey? I see Honda offer a 2018 wiring harness that does not require a separate connection to the battery. Thanks, Ed

The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118753 is currently the only confirmed fit we have from any manufacturer. The power wire to the Modulite is a little inconvenient to run and I get that it is easier to get a harness that doesn't use it, however, it is a safer harness. Because it draws its power from the vehicle battery, it protects the factory wiring from overdraw preventing an overload to your electrical system. I've attached an article on routing that power wire if you choose to go this route.

I assume that Honda has made some changes even from the 2017 model year as those harnesses are not confirmed to fit at this time.
