Weight Distribution and Sway Control Recommendation for Trailer with 950 lbs Tongue Weight

Question:

Look for a system recommendation. Tow Vehicle: 2011 Dodge Ram 1500, 5.7 gas engine Trailer: 2013 Keystone Bullet Premier 29RTPR Empty Weight Per Keystone: 6040lbs Tongue Weight Per Keystone: 730lbs Estimated Tongue Weight with battery and Propane: 950 lbs Im looking for a recommendation on what you think would be the best WD and sway system. This trailer is a new purchase for me. The trailer has a friction type system that Im having to replace because of theft of the hitch head. I think any WD system would accomplish WD but want the best possible sway control within reasonable cost ie: no Hensley which you dont carry anyway. I would love to hear from an expert because although Ive read a lot, Im not an expert. Im looking to order right away. Thanks

Thanks for getting me the loaded tongue weight of your trailer as it's ready to tow. That's the key figure for picking out a weight distribution system. For a loaded weight of 950 lbs the best system is going to be the Strait Line part # RP66084. This has a tongue weight range of 600 to 1,200 lbs and features the only sway control on the market that is designed to fight sway before it starts. It's easily your best choice.

For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
