Parts Needed to Adapt Yakima Crossbars to a Rhino Rack 63 inch Rail System

Question:

I recently purchased a used set of Yakima round bars with Kayak carriers from my cousin. I have a set of Rhino Rack 63inch tracks laying around and want to try and adapt the round bars to those tracks for use on my trailer. Is there an adapter to put those bars on those tracks?

Though manufacturers tend to recommend against using another company's towers on their track, there are occasional fits for cross-brand uses.

In this case, you'll be able to use the Yakima LaunchPad 1, part # Y00221, in the Rhino Rack 63 inch rail, part # RTC16. I've included a picture of the two working in perfect harmony with each other. These pads include caps for when the rails are not in use to protect the inner workings of the LaunchPads.

From there, you'll just need a set of Yakima legs to connect to your existing crossbars, like the SkyLine Towers, part # Y53TR. These will connect to the LaunchPads to create a mounting point for the crossbars.

Finally, you'll need the Round Bar SL adapters, part # Y03536, to mount your crossbars onto the towers, completing your system.

While you won't be using the rails 100% of the time, I recommend adding a Same Key System Lock Core 4 pack, part # Y07204, to secure the rail system while in use.
