Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2013 Infiniti G37X
Question:
Hello. Pardon my ignorance. I understand that the Curt hitch does not include the drawbar, pin and clip. Is that an essential component and can it be purchased separately? I am trying to get everything for a hitch. Can you steer me one direction or the other? Thanks!

Whether or not you will need a draw bar (ball mount) depends on what you will be using the hitch for on your 2013 Infiniti G37X. By the way that is a super-cool car but I may be biased since I have a 2008 G37S!
If you will be using the hitch for a bike rack or cargo carrier, then you would not need the draw bar. But for towing it is essential.
For the Curt hitches, the hitch for the sedan models, # C11499, uses ball mount # C45521 and pin and clip # F-4. You would then add a ball to match what the trailer coupler requires: # A-80 for a 1-7/8 inch or # A-82 for a 2 inch.
For towing you will also need a trailer wiring harness. For the sedans you can use # 118480. I have linked a video review of this harness for you.
If you won't be towing and choose the Draw-Tite hitch then keep in mind that any bike rack or cargo carrier used has to be rated for use in a Class I hitch and for bikes you are limited to 2 bikes maximum. I have linked the Class I compatible 2-bike racks and cargo carriers for you.
