Hardwire Brake Controller Insatllation on a 2005 Nissan Murano
Question:
I have a 2005 Nissan Murano and need to hook up electric brakes. Is there a harness that does that? I need a 7 pin connector

The Nissan Murano isn't equipped with a connector under the dash for a plug and play installation of a brake controller, but all is not lost. You can easily hardwire a controller. You'll first need to choose a brake controller. The Prodigy P2 you referenced, part # 90885 would make a great choice. You'd also need our Brake Controller Installation Kit, part # ETBC7. The kit includes everything you'd need to install a controller, an adapter is included to convert an existing 4 pole to a 7-way trailer connector. If your Murano doesn't already have a 4-pole, you can install one using part # 55571.
I'll link you to the instructions for the # ETBC7 kit, as well as to an FAQ link that describes the installation from start to finish. I'll also link you to an installation video showing a brake controller being installed on a 2009 Murano. The procedure on your vehicle would be almost identical.
