Installing Foam Blocks For Kayak On Naked Roof Or Steel Square Crossbar Roof Rack

Want to know how it is attached to a Bare Roof? ALSO: How does it attach to a roof rack that is Square Steel? The pictures do not show this. Thanks

The Malone Deluxe Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs - Foam Block Style - 18" Long # MPG152 can be secured to a naked roof through the door frames and over the kayak using the 15 foot straps. This will give you a length of strap running on the inside of your door frames near the headliner. Then you will secure the bow and stern with the other straps.
When attaching to a roof rack, you can simply use the cutouts in the blocks to center the foam pads on square, round, or aero bars. The attaching can then be made to the bar by looping over the kayak and under the bar then tightening or through the vehicle as stated above.
