Recommend Wiring Harness With Both 4 And 7-Way Connectors On A 2012 Jeep Liberty
Question:
I just installed a factory hitch on my 2012 Jeep Liberty but need a recommendation for a wiring harness. I have not purchased any wiring yet, Id like to have both a 7-way and a 4-pole. I use different trailers so would like to retain use of both connectors. Can you tell me what parts Ill need? Would I need to first install the factory harness or do you have a solution I can purchase thru you? Thanks in advance.

I have the perfect wiring harness option that will give you both 4 and 7-way capabilities on your 2012 Jeep Liberty. You will also not need to install any factory wiring harness to do so.
For this, I recommend using the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118554 as this is a complete plug and play kit included with everything needed for installation. However, as this harness only has a 4-way connector, you will want to use the Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole part # 37185 for both 4 and 7-way capabilities. We have an installation video for both harnesses on a 2012 Jeep Liberty which I have attached for you. I also recommend using a bit of dielectric grease like part # 11755 before making these connections.
If your 7-way trailer has brakes, you will also need a brake controller such as the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 in addition to about 6 foot of the 10 Gauge Primary Wire part # 10-1-1 to run the brake signal wire.
