Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid
Question:
I am looking to put a hitch on my 2015 Accord Hybrid specifically for a hitch-mounted bike rack. I see that you have 2 options Curt: C11681, Curt: C11496. It sounds like the Curt is generally more well liked and constructed. The whole reason for a hitch mounted bike rack is to keep things e.g. straps off of the car. Is the Curt requirement just covering them and I would likely be OK with this product or should I go with the Drawtite?

As you referenced in your question, both the Curt # C11496 and Curt # C11681 Class I Trailer Hitches are confirmed to fit your 2015 Honda Accord.
As you also mentioned, Curt requires that with their Class I and II trailer hitches, a stabilizing strap like # 18050 be used with any non-trailer loads such as bike racks and cargo carriers. This is not an indication of the hitch's strength or stability, but simply an extra precaution Curt takes to further support the hitch.
I have included installation videos on both of the hitches for your 2015 Accord that you can use for reference. Keep in mind that with either model, some modification to the heat shield and underbody trim panel may be required.
I have also included a link that will take you to our available selection of hitch mounted bike racks that you can look through.
