Wiring Harness to Plug In Primus Brake Controller to a 2012 Honda Ridgeline
Question:
I have 2012 Honda Ridgeline RTL factory to package including w/7 PIN tow connector. Unless you recommend otherwise Ive chosen TK901160. Most I will tow is 5000# double axle, 4 wheel/brake, electric brake trailer. How will I know which harness/wires under the dash is the correct one to splice in the controller? Or must I run thru the firewall to engine compartment? Is there a Ridgeline install video for this or any of the controllers?

The Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional # TK90160 is a good choice for a brake controller. The electronics on the inside are the same as those used in the original Prodigy brake controller which was one of the best-selling controllers of all time.
To plug the controller into your 2012 Honda Ridgeline you will just need wiring harness # 3070-P. This adapter plugs into the 4-pin connector on your vehicle's built-in brake control wiring harness. The harness is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal. We do not have a video showing installation but I have linked the instructions for you.
