Weight Distribution System for 2015 GMC Sierra 2500HD Towing 4,000 lb Trailer
Question:
i have a 2015 sierra 2500hd and a 19 foot tt. loaded the travel trailer is 4000lbs with tw 500 lbs. TW is going to a bit variable depending on where we are headed but i imagine it will be between 500-900 pounds. Example on a moose hunting trip going home with 500 pounds of meat in the bed of the pick up. i realize this isnt a lot of weight for the truck but want the sway control for high winds in in the mountains. what would you recommend?

For a wide ranging tongue towing setup it's hard to pick a one-size-fits-all weight distribution solution. Because you have to match the system to the tongue weight and then you have to fine tune it to the trailer. You can use the part # RP66559 which will work well for your tongue weight range as it has a range of 500 lbs - 1,000 lbs.
If the weight of the meat is in front of the rear axle it doesn't count as tongue weight as well.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
