Installation Difficulty for Curt Trailer Hitch C13370 on a 2018 Honda Odyssey

Unfortunately, we have not had the opportunity to install the EcoHitch on the Odyssey. As soon as we get the chance, we will install the hitch and make a video. I have linked the instructions for you which has further details on the installation process.

Some hitches require some extra installation steps. The installation difficulty scale on our site reflects the amount of time is estimated to install a hitch. The installation time is only estimated to be so long because some components on the 2018 Honda Odyssey have to be temporary removed and there is some trimming of various parts required for installation. None of this is difficult, it just takes longer overall to install the hitch.

If you are willing to give up the hidden crossbar, you could take a look at the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13370, which is only rated at 3 out of 10 for difficulty. I attached an install video for this hitch.

If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.

If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.

And for a trailer connector you can use T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Item # 118521. We do have a video showing an example installation of this harness which I have linked for you.
