Will Break in Trailer Brake Wiring Cause Prodigy P3 to Read a Short

Question:

I looked at the leads connected from the harness to each brake assembly and I noticed that one of the green leads to the front right axel is partially broken, would this cause an out put short on the tekonshaP 3 controller

Yes, if the Green wire goes to the brakes any broken, damaged, corroded, or even bent wiring could potentially cause the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 to show that it has a short.

You can use Butt Connectors # DW05745-5 to connect the break in the wiring. If the wiring is damaged to the point that it needs to be replaced you can use 10 Gauge Wire # 10-1-1 along with the butt connectors to do so.
