Recommended Wiring Harness and Other Parts Needed to Tow a Trailer with a 2017 Kia Niro

Which wiring harness do you recommend for a Kia Niro 2017. Which model of Tekonsha or Curt or other manufacturer would be best for me?

I recommend the # C59496 wiring harness for your 2017 Kia Niro. It's a universal harness because there are no wiring options available for your vehicle. The Curt works with almost all wiring and lighting types and uses a powered converter to protect the vehicle's sensitive wiring.
I've included an install video on another vehicle but the process will be very similar for yours.
If you don't already have a trailer hitch receiver I recommend the Curt # C13329. It's a Class III hitch that designed specifically for the Niro. It bolts right to the vehicle's frame with no drilling.
You'll also need a ball mount and hitch ball. I've attached a link of our selection of ball mounts for a 2 inch hitch receiver as well as an article to help you determine the correct rise or drop you may need. Once you choose a ball mount you can then choose a hitch ball to fit it.
For a pin and clip to fit you can use # PC3 or if you'd like to have a locking pin you can use # BX8858.
