Will Equalizer Sway Control EQ37060ET Fit Shasta Airflyte 2015 Travel Trailer

Question:

I have a Shasta Airflyte 2015 re-issue travel trailer that weighs between 3250-3750 full loaded depending on how much we put in it. I tow it with a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel. I am very interested in the Equalizer Sway Control system EQ37060ET, but I am concerned about the size of the tongue on my Shasta Airflyte. From the center of the coupler to where the trailer frame enters the front of the trailer is 32. I see that the spring bars are 36 long. Is that going to be a problem? In other words, not knowing how the mechanism functions when turning, will the spring bars collide with the front of the trailer? I will attach a couple of photos of this area of the trailer in hopes it helps. Thank you!

The Equal-i-zer system # EQ37060ET that you referenced is rated properly for your Shasta's loaded tongue weight range. Since the system's spring bars remain under the frame member they should not pose an issue unless the trailer structure also extends below the bottom of the frame. Based on your photo there appears to be enough clearance to allow using this system on your Airflyte.

If you have a look at the frame bracket for this system, shown in the photo I linked for you, you will see that the bar actually rests on a horizontal part of the bracket that will sit well below the bottom of the trailer's a-frame.
