Is there any way the saris bones 2 or 3 can be used with a 2006 Volvo XC70?

Saris does not recommend any of their trunk-mount bike carriers for your 2006 Volvo XC70 but we do have 2- and 3-bike racks that are confirmed to fit well on this vehicle. You can see them on the linked page.

If you are looking for the easiest and most-secure installation I suggest the Thule OutWay racks, either the 2-bike # TH45JV or the 3-bike version # TH56BV.
