How to Access the Rear Cargo Area of a 2016 Mercedes Metris with Bike Rack Mounted to Hitch
Question:
I have a Mercedes Metris with a rear trailer hitch receiver. Unfortunately with my bike rack installed, I can not open the rear doors. Do you have a hitch that could be installed on the front? Then I would put my bike rack there.

I have a solution for you, but, unfortunately, there is no front receiver hitch available for the 2016 Mercedes-Benz Metris.
The best option for you is to change your bike rack to either a tilting or swing-away platform bike rack.
Using a rack like the RockyMounts BackStage 2 Bike Platform Rack, # RKY10002, will allow you to swing two loaded bikes out and away from the rear of your Mercedes Metris. This rack will give the most access to the rear cargo area of your vehicle, but this rack can be heavier and harder to maneuver then one of the tilt a-way racks.
