Question:
I have a trailer that has a Philips/Dexter Axles Dual 6000 lb with ser # 3081399 with Dexter Drums 12inch Diam, 2inch wide, the only numbers i find on the drum are 8-222 They are Electric brakes. I was told it was an older design. I am looking for brake shoes and Magnets for this. Can you point me in the correct direction?. I have pictures if you would like to see a little detail. Thank you

The brakes you are looking for are a standard size, so rather than getting the shoes and magnets for your older design, I recommend upgrading your system. I recommend the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 12" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 5.2K to 7K # AKEBRK-7-SA. These are really well made assemblies. The brake pad material is actually cut instead of scored and broken like other assemblies, so you get a better quality pad.
If you want the current Dexter assembly compatible with your axle, I recommend the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 12" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 6K # 23-458-459.
With either assembly I recommend the adjustment spoon tool # W80630 for the initial adjustment needed before the self-adjusting takes over. If you need new mounting hardware, I recommend the Mounting Bolts and Hardware for 12" Brake Assemblies # BRKH12.
If you just want the parts, I have linked the brake magnet page for you as well as the electric brake shoe page for your convenience.
