Tekonsha Prodigy Brake Controller Installation in 2010 and 2017 Chevy Silverados

Is wiring harness 4091 40C used on 2010 Silverado same as #3016 used for prodigy controller?

Wiring harness part # 3016 from Tekonsha allows brake controller installation in the tow-package-equipped 2017 Silverado. The 2010 Silverado does not have the under-dash connection port for this harness but the wiring to connect a brake controller like the Prodigy P2 # 90885 is already there. If you need just a replacement pigtail plug to hard wire the controller you can use # 7894. This plugs in at the back of the controller and includes butt connectors for splicing to the vehicle wires.
