Out of the selection that we have to offer for your 2018 Chevrolet Equinox I recommend going with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76419. This is a Class III 2 inch trailer hitch receiver that has a max Gross Trailer Weight (GTW) of 4,500 lbs and a max Tongue Weight (TW) of 675 lbs. You will want to check your owner's manual to see what those weight capacities are as well.

A 2 inch receiver will allow you to use more accessories than a 1-1/4 inch receiver would.
