Recommended Weight Distribution System for Prowler Lynx Trailer with 750 Pound Tongue Weight

Question:

I have a prowler lynx xl22. GVW is 7000lbs. Fully loaded, tongue weight is 750 lbs. I tow with a 2017 toyota tundra crew max with tow package. Which weight distribution would you reccomend for use in my set up.

Thank you for providing the loaded tongue weight of your Prowler Lynx Trailer - it is a big help in determining the best weight distribution system for your setup.

When choosing between weight distribution systems, you will want to consider the total tongue weight of your trailer and tow vehicle. This will include both the 750 pound loaded tongue weight of your trailer, along with any added cargo weight coming from behind the rear axle of your Toyota Tundra. Ideally, you will want this number to fall somewhere around the middle of the tongue weight capacity range for the system that you choose.

I recommend looking at the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37100ET. This system has a tongue weight capacity of 600 to 1,000 pounds, which will be perfect for your trailer, even allowing for some wiggle room to account for the cargo weight behind the rear axle of your Tundra. This system has an integrated 4-Point Sway Control that limits side-to-side movement. It will also evenly distribute weight over the axles of your tow vehicle and trailer for added stability and control. Both the required adjustable shank and 2-5/16 inch chrome hitch ball are included, so you will not need to add anything else.

I have attached a video demonstration on this system as well as the installation details for you to check out.
